Research Process Manager I

The Research Process Manager I is central to research process within the NTRO and Human Subjects Research office. The Process Manager will work with leaders and team members to develop and/or improve processes that drive revenue generation, compliance to research process, automation, and efficiency. This role is solution driven and works on a wide variety of small to large processes. 

Position Highlights:

  • The Research Process Manager I is responsible for managing high level research processes throughout the research portfolio.  
  • This position requires an acumen of good judgment in addition to research knowledge. This role must have a scientific understanding of the work in addition to business acumen related to research in order to execute the duties properly.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Critical thinking skills, ability to adapt quickly to respond to the needs of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with research management and staff, faculty, shared resources and other department management and staff to achieve research goals.
  • Developing and improving research processes throughout the research portfolio.  
  • Writing standard operating procedures.
  • Process improvement.
  • Relationship building with customers/stakeholders.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field relating to public health, psychology, biological sciences or relevant field with five (5) years' experience in clinical research, research and/or healthcare inclusive of:
    • Three (3) years managing project implementation including delivering tactical, cross functional study and project development differing in complexity
    • Three (3) years developing and managing business systems and processes for clinical research, observational research studies and/or biorepository
  • Master's Degree in field relating to public health, psychology, biological sciences or relevant field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management, including conducting research study procedures for observational and biobanking studies.
  • Strong communication with participants and stakeholders.
  • Highly skilled in executing and properly conducting research protocol at an academic setting.
  • Knowledgeable in research procedures and best practices in all types of prospective research studies.
