The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position, which is renewable for a second year with successful job performance and the agreement of both parties. The incumbent must have expertise in biological chemistry, and the appointment would begin on 17 August 2023. Duties include teaching upper-level biochemistry lecture courses and may include laboratory classes and lecture courses in other areas of chemistry in which the candidate is proficient. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related area and expect to have earned a Ph.D. by the start of employment. Appointments as Visiting Associate Professor and Visiting Professor will also be considered for candidates with the appropriate background and experience.
