Security Officer

The successful candidate:

Hours: Thursday - Monday, hours 10:30pm - 7:00am

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff members, volunteers, visitors, students, equipment, supplies and anything else necessary to provide the comprehensive health care that makes up City of Hope, Chicago. Additional responsibilities include checking guests in and out of the guest quarters and using the property management system.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 yrs of security experience; hospital security experience preferred

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Sound judgment and quick decision-making ability.

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Basic Life Support card required (CPR and AED) within six months of hire.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $24.15 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
