We are open to hiring for a Clinical Social Worker II or Clinical Social Worker III for this very busy clinic located in Torrance.

Clinical Social Worker II (CSW II)

Position Overview: The Clinical Social Worker II (CSW II) at City of Hope is a vital part of our patient care team, providing invaluable support and guidance to patients and their families. Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
Registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Strong decision-making, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including proficient documentation skills.
Compassionate and empathetic approach with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.


Responsibilities:

Provide timely and respectful social work services to patients and families.
Deliver quality care consistent with professional and City of Hope standards.
Offer skilled psychosocial support and crisis management throughout the continuum of care.
Act as an ambassador to the profession and actively participate in community and professional organizations.
Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance care delivery.

Your qualifications should include:

Minimum Education:

Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE- Accredited School of Social Work

Minimum Experience:

Two years Medical Social Work
One-year Oncology Social Work (Preferred).

Req. Certification/Licensure:

Out of state Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Active registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
CSW II must pass the LCSW exam and become a LCSW in the state of California within one year or be demoted to CSW I
For pediatric service, CCS Panel provider or complete application within 60 days of hire

Preferred Courses/Training:

Oncology, palliative, and end-of-life

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
