As a Business Solutions Manager, you will mentor and provide oversight of individual team members, as well as ensure the success of our projects and consulting engagements. Building relationships and setting expectations with both your direct reports, as well as our clients, are important aspects of the job and key to your success. You will work with the rest of the management team to plan and prioritize our project portfolio. We are an agile organization that strives to continually adapt and improve our processes and methodologies, and you will play a key role in leading our continued evolution as we work to meet our business partnersâ needs.Â
As a Business Solutions Manager you will:Â
- Manage the assignment and prioritization of your direct reportsâ workÂ
- Mentor individual team membersÂ
- Perform annual performance reviews, and give regular, constructive feedback throughout the year to manage performance to expectationsÂ
- Own a portfolio of projects where your goal is to ensure a successful outcome through clearly stated objectives, effective communication and careful planning and monitoringÂ
- Participate in the planning and prioritization of our overall project portfolioÂ
- Ensure projects and solutions are structured to achieve business objectives with the simplest design and implementation possibleÂ
- Identify process improvement opportunities, and help to drive team adoptionÂÂ
- Act as a point of escalation for client concerns, and vendor performance issuesÂ
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of seven yearsâ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
- Supervisory experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for people with:Â
- Ten+ yearsâ experience working in progressive roles within technical, project-oriented teams a plus
- Experience managing and mentoring individual team membersÂ
- Excellent client consulting skills, with ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiencesÂ
- Practical experience leading large, multi-stakeholder projects via iterative methodologies, such as AgileÂ
- Analytical and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Proactive identification of project risks, and development of effective mitigation strategiesÂ
- Strong team player who leads by example and fosters a positive, forward-thinking team cultureÂ

Work Format Details
This is a position that is based at a Harvard campus location with some remote work options available. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.Â
