Job Description
Job SummaryThis position will serve the mission of Morgan State University and the Earl G Graves School of Business and Management through the activities of teaching and service. The person holding this position will be responsible for developing and teaching online and face-to-face undergraduate and graduate level courses in cybersecurity and risk management, for MBA, and BS degrees.
Job Duties
The candidate will have shown expertise in areas of cybersecurity intelligence (such as forensics, threat mitigation, incident response, security analytics) and/or policy issues such as legal and privacy issues. The candidate will participate in Department, School, and University committees. Teaching assignments will include, but not limited to, courses in forensics, threat mitigation, risk management, policy, regulations in undergraduate and graduate programs. Engagement in multidisciplinary work with faculty with very diverse backgrounds is anticipated. Faculty must maintain a regular minimum of 9 hours of office hours on campus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics
Consideration will be given to candidates who have obtained certifications in cybersecurity and related areas, for e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CEH, CISSP.
Required Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a graduate degree (doctorate preferred) in Information Systems, or related disciplines such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering with exposure to research in networks, cybersecurity intelligence, or cybersecurity management. The candidate should have a demonstrated records of expertise in Computer Networks and Scripting courses Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Forensics, Ethical Hacking, and Cyber Policy and Risk Management. Prior work experiences that use related skills are desirable, though not necessary.
